I've tried that. People still somehow sense that I'm negative. I don't know why.

I imagine it's because I don't whine constantly like nearly everyone I deal with in real life. They whine because their SO hasn't had sex with them for 4 days, they whine because they had to buy the escalade instead of the humvee, they whine that they had to pay 5% of their paycheck in taxes, they whine because the massive amount of wealth they've been given isn't enough to support three kids and an adult by itself, they whine that they had to buy the 4 bedroom house instead of the mansion in bel aire, they whine that the president was someone they didn't vote for, they whine that they actually have to do some WORK instead of having everything handed to them in a pretty package.

Boo fucking hoo. I'm sorry my life isn't so rewarding that I would find any of that a huge problem.

Why are people wrong on the internet? Why do these douchebags continue arguing points that I say that I'm not going to argue with them? Why do they then get aggravated when I don't reply to them?

So tonight, somewhere in the region of 20-80 people will be visiting as my stepdad has, in his wisdom, invited the entire staff of the school over to use the pool. Now, apparently it's against some kind of law to put jellyfish in the pool, so my second plan is to amuse myself with a lovely bottle of absinthe.

Rather than letting an opportunity go to waste, I thought I should perhaps review something. What do we want? Painful "I never set foot outside America" Rifts splats where Japan is full of robot ninjas, Russia is full of demons and magical gypsies and Australia has mutant talking kangaroos? A shitty e-book based on someone's fantasy soft porn series that is too deep to use a standard game and needs its own system for its racism and cocks? An actually good game like SLA Industries?

(I make no promises, I can't remember how strong absinthe tends to be compared to vodka or midori, so I might go from zero to shitfaced in just one glass)

Also I don't have an absinthe spoon so I might just end up drinking it straight pure rather than the original louching or the Bohemian way. So yeah, I could end up two paragraphs in then suddenly forget how to type or vomit all over the keyboard or something.

I don't have MLP-FiM. My current collection of RPG stuff boils down to:
D&D 3.X - most of it
Maid
SLA Industries - Core + Karma + Contract Killers
Rifts - most of it
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Core + several splats
Nightbane - some books, not even sure I have core
That weird game I mentioned above and can't remember the name of
BESM 3E
Demon - all of it (which isn't much)
Exalted - Core + some splats
Derp Heresy - Core + anything that has anything to do with Sisters of Battle
Inquisitor - probably all of it
3:16
I think I might still have Panty Explosion - don't waste your money, the name is more exciting than the entire game
Legend - Core + whatever extra crap was released before I stopped caring
WWEd20: Know Your Role
Anima
Possibly I still have Slayers d20, I may have packed that away or lost it or something

I've considered writing a review of something, although I would be limited to what I have*, which is:

-D&D 2nd Edition Core Books (don't know where my 2e Monstrous Manual is but I know someone who has a spare that I could probably borrow)
-2e Psionics Handbook
-2e Arms and Equipment Guide
-2e Player's Guide to Dragonlance
-2e Tales of the Lance Sourcebook
-3.x Core books + assorted splats I have PDFs of
-Slayers d20

*In addition to copious amounts of booze, which I assumed was a given since it appears you have to get shitfaced to write a review here.

That being said, I'll probably do one of the 2e ones; they're kind of hilarious in a sick and twisted way, unless someone really wants one of the others done (and there's a chance that Koumei will cover one of those.)

I would also not be adverse to run a Let's Play of a Fighting Fantasy gamebook (remember those?) if that can be covered in IMHO or In The Trenches (I suppose that's the other annoying question, whether or not I can do that?)

I'll post more on either topic if interest is shown.

And my vote for Koumei's review is something obscure, so probably the game whose name you can't remember.

I won't remember it after I start, I just bought the 500mL bottle of Green Fairy - 60% and comes with the spoon, glass, sugar cubes and for some reason a massive jug. $70 total, which is honestly $20-30 less than I was expecting to pay for something this strong.

Also, while I was there I noticed a bunch of Absolut flavoured vodkas. Now apparently Absolut has a false reputation for being high quality and is actually shit*, but what I'm curious about is the flavour thing. I don't mean pre-mixed cruiser type stuff. It's clear vodka, at regular strength, but apparently peach flavoured or apple flavoured or whatever. How good does it actually taste? Do they mostly taste like vodka or actually like their flavours?

*How do you even tell? Vodka looks like water, smells like it will make you sick, tastes like water but chokes you and burns your mouth so you do not fucking drink it in a way that you an taste it, you shoot it or mix it. And then at some point you ask the question "Why are we on a traffic island?" I can't see how there's room to measure quality.

I had a S'mores flavored vodka a few months ago, although that was Three Olives rather than Absolut.

More or less just tasted like vodka, which tastes like burning.

I have used flavored vodkas as mixers but have only drank any straight once. I don't like them very much.

I used to drink Voxx and Grey Goose, but I don't touch that stuff anymore.

MLPFIM's first two seasons are on Netflix. Or it's all on Youtube.

But actually I vote Demon. Between WoD being the first, and longest, long running game I played, and my personal love of demons, it's pretty much my favourite game.

Also, unless you love the taste of licorice to an absolutely inhuman degree... do not drink absinthe straight... just pour it in a glass, add sugar and ice water. The spoon is just being fancy.

It is also just allows for more users and more security straight up. 36 possibilities for each slot (up to the max string length) is just straight up more (and for security, better) than 26 possibilities. And unless the system is really fucked up, allowing integers as part of the variable type doesn't take up any more memory space, but extending the string length does.

The only flavoured vodka I've had is vanilla vodka. Absolut Vanilla was pretty good, Smirnov vanilla was OK. Both were better mixed with Coke. Then again, I practically never drink things straight - the alcohol flavour is too strong for me that way.

Van Gogt makes some awesome Vodka flavors. I'm not a fan of Vodka normally but their Espresso, Dutch Caramel flavors are awesome. They also have a new Wheat based Vodka that seems interesting.

Also, in .mkv files with two subtitle tracks, is there a way to either remove one of them or change which subtitle track is the default track?

Depends on wether or not the player supports that kind of thing.
Usually it's not a supported feature, so no, in most cases you can't set a certain language as the default subtitle . .
And no, if they are not .srt files in the same folder as the actual .mkv, you can't really remove them from the .mkv file either.
Separat files and only one file, that's the difference between softsubbed and hardsubbed/hardcoded subs

be happy that you get to chose which one is displayed at all . .
i had several anime downloads where i could not switch off subtitles . .

I don't mind having subtitles. I just want subtitles that I can understand. Unfortunately, I can't read Chinese. Having a playlist of 100 files and having to manually switch the subtitles one by one is annoying.

I was just wondering if there was a program that could help remove one of the srt files from within the mkv file.

I remember these existed for dual track avi/mov files.

I am extremely tempted to get wheat based vodka, just to have it around for when my celiac friend is with me and we drink. "Oh hey, you have vodka" "Yep, wheat based."

gluten allergy is about the pussy-ist medical condition one can have, I think. I mean... bread can kill you. It's hard to get a lamer medical condition than that, and live past the age of three.

By which I suppose I mean to say "oh, yeah, we all give him shit."
